The movie is like watched a Dali painting explained by John Waters. Our Juliet is a bisexual and Romeo is a waste of a human being. The sex is explicit and the script is interesting. The acting is really bad but the movie is a lot of fun. Cap wants to get all of the money from Marty and thus begins the feud. Set in Tromaville, New Jersey, business partners Marty Que and Cap Capulet start a film company. The film is in your face from start to finish. The original Shakespearean plot is there as are some of the original lines from the classic play but that does not stop bizarreness from sneaking in. Everyone seems to be a little “loco” and within the insanity we have Tromeo and Juliet who fell in love at first sight creating problems for their families. The Que family and the Capulet family have had a running feud for years based upon something that happened in a film company. It brings, once again, the story of Romeo and Juliet to the screen but this is time it is the tale of female lovers and it is bawdy, violent, funny and romantic. It is a bizarre film to be sure but then it comes from Troma Studios and Troma is known for the bizarre. Watching it now in Bluray I must change my mind a bit. I had seen “Tromeo and Juliet” several years ago and truthfully I was not impressed. There is something about watching a movie in Bluray and even the worst movies look good.
